Privacy Policy
PokiesLAB is an information site about online pokies and casinos for Australian players. We don’t run a casino, we don’t take deposits and we don’t ask you to create an account. This page explains the small amount of data we do collect, why, and what you can do about it. It applies from 22 October 2026.
What we collect
- Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors find the site. Google collects the pages you view, the device and browser you use, an approximate location based on your IP address, and a random identifier stored in a cookie. We’ve turned on nothing that would let us identify you personally from this data.
- Cookieless analytics. We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics, which counts visits without setting cookies or storing personal information.
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses and request times, for security and troubleshooting. These are kept for a limited period and not used for anything else.
- Email. If you write to us at [email protected], we keep your message and our reply for as long as we need them to deal with your request.
We don’t collect names, dates of birth, payment details or gambling activity. There are no sign-up forms, comment sections or newsletters on this site.
What happens when you click a casino link
Links to casinos on PokiesLAB go through our own redirect addresses (they start with /go/) and lead to the casino’s site. Once you’re there, the casino’s own privacy policy applies, and it may set cookies that record you arrived from PokiesLAB. We don’t control those cookies. If you sign up or deposit, the casino reports that a sign-up or deposit came through our link so that commission can be calculated. We don’t ask the casino for your personal details and we don’t use these reports to identify you. Our affiliate disclosure explains how this funds the site.
How we use the data
Analytics tell us which guides are useful and which need work. Server logs help us keep the site running and spot abuse. Email is used only to answer you. We don’t sell data, we don’t share it with advertisers, and we don’t combine analytics with your email to build a profile.
Who else sees it
Google processes analytics data on our behalf under its own terms, and some of that processing happens outside Australia. Ahrefs processes cookieless visit counts. Our hosting provider stores the site and its logs. Nobody else receives data from us unless the law requires it.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time, use a browser extension that blocks analytics, or install Google’s opt-out add-on. The site works without cookies. Our cookies policy lists every cookie we’re aware of.
If you’d like to know what information we hold about you, or want it corrected or deleted, email [email protected] and we’ll respond. In practice the only personal information we’re likely to hold is your own email correspondence.
Young people
This site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and the casinos we write about require players to be 18 or older.
